Perinatal Psychological Therapy in Brisbane

What is perinatal Psychology?

Perinatal psychology focuses on the mental health and wellbeing of parents during the early stages of parenting. We provide support for those considering conception right through until 3 years postpartum. Therapists working within Perinatal Psychology aim to increase their clients understanding of psychological concepts that relate specifically to this stage of life, in addition to implementing evidence-based treatments for mental health issues. Women are particularly vulnerable during the perinatal period and we aim to work collaboratively with each client to help find solutions and strategies that fit in with their specific life circumstances. As parents can tell you, this stage of life requires juggling many roles & responsibilities and reforming our identities. We help clients to navigate this developmental stage to move from struggling to thriving.
